TERMS OF SERVICE

This website is operated by Jesús González Álvarez trading as TheFootStraw. Throughout the site, the terms "we", "us" and "our" refer to TheFootStraw. By visiting our site and/or purchasing from us, you agree to be bound by the following terms and conditions.

1. HANDMADE & MADE-TO-ORDER All our products are handcrafted upon order. Due to the artisanal nature of our pieces, which involves sculpting, glazing and a mandatory drying process to ensure quality and durability, each item requires a dedicated production timeline. By purchasing, the customer acknowledges they are buying a custom handmade item, not a mass-produced product.

2. PRODUCTION & DELIVERY TIMELINES Due to the handcrafted nature of our products, the following timelines apply to all orders, in business days:

  • Order Processing: 1–3 days
  • Handcrafting & Drying: 4 days
  • International Shipping: 4–8 days

Total estimated delivery window: 9–15 business days from the date of purchase. By completing a purchase, the customer acknowledges and agrees to this window. Delays within this timeframe are a standard part of our artisanal process and do not constitute a breach of contract or a valid reason for a refund or chargeback.

3. PRODUCT REPRESENTATIONS We use high quality photography and AI-assisted creative imagery to showcase our products on the site. These images are for illustrative purposes. While we strive for full accuracy, the final physical product may have slight variations in texture or colour tone due to the handmade manufacturing process. Each piece is unique.

4. ORDER CANCELLATIONS Once an order is placed it enters our production system immediately.

  • Cancellations are permitted only within the first 12 hours of purchase.
  • After 12 hours the item enters the production and drying phase, costs are incurred and the order cannot be cancelled. Customers must wait to receive the item and then follow our Returns Policy if applicable.

5. RIGHT TO REFUSE OR CANCEL ORDERS We reserve the right to refuse or cancel any order in the following cases:

  • Errors in pricing or product descriptions
  • Extreme logistical costs to specific remote regions that make the sale unfeasible

In such cases a full refund will be issued immediately.

6. CUSTOMS, DUTIES & TAXES For most major destinations including the USA and EU, taxes and duties are included in the final checkout price. Should any unforeseen local customs charge arise based on specific regional laws, the recipient remains the importer of record and is responsible for such charges.

7. GOVERNING LAW These Terms of Service shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Spain. Any disputes shall be resolved exclusively in the Courts of Ciudad Real, Spain.
