SHIPPING & FULFILLMENT POLICY

Last Updated: May 23, 2026

At TheFootStraw we specialise in handcrafted, made-to-order ceramic pieces. Unlike mass-produced items, every order goes through a dedicated creation process to ensure the highest quality and durability. By purchasing from us, you acknowledge and agree to the following timelines.

1. PRODUCTION PROCESS Because every piece is made specifically for you, your order goes through the following stages, all in business days:

  • Order Processing: 1–3 days — reviewing your order and preparing materials
  • Handcrafting & Drying Phase: 4 days — this stage is mandatory, our ceramic pieces require a specific drying and curing time to ensure they do not warp or degrade during transit
  • Quality Inspection: included in the production phase

2. SHIPPING TIMELINES Once your piece has been crafted, inspected and dispatched, estimated shipping times are:

  • International Shipping & Transit: 4–8 business days

Total estimated delivery window: 9–15 business days from the date of purchase. During periods of high demand or global logistical disruption, timelines may be slightly extended. A delay within the standard window does not constitute a breach of contract or a valid reason for a refund or chargeback.

3. TRACKING YOUR ORDER You will receive an automated email with your tracking number once your order has been dispatched. It is normal for tracking to show "Label Created" or "In Transit to Sorting Centre" for several days while the package clears international customs and export processing.

4. SHIPPING ACCURACY The customer is responsible for providing a complete and accurate shipping address at checkout. TheFootStraw is not liable for non-delivery due to incorrect addresses, nor for packages marked as delivered by the carrier that are subsequently lost or stolen from the delivery location.

5. CUSTOMS & IMPORT DUTIES For orders to the USA, EU and UK, taxes are generally included at checkout. However, the recipient is the importer of record and must comply with all local regulations and pay any unforeseen customs fees or handling charges imposed by local authorities.
